International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th to commemorate women’s cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements. Compass to Connect recognizes how significant women are and we are committed to supporting them to achieve their dreams.

Below are some of the settlement and employment services for newcomer women, which can be accessed at Compass to connect

  • Career Pathways for Women

    2 weeks program to provide visible minority women with CLB 7 or higher with job search support, resume building, and more.

  • Milestones to Employment for Women

    Offers 4 weeks of training and paid job placements for newcomer women with minimum CLB 4 and with little or no previous experience.

  • Individual Counselling for Women

    Free one-on-one counselling including abuse and crisis counselling, mental health counselling, and self-esteem coaching.

  • Virtual Peer support for Women

    Peer supporters provided one-on-one support and mentorship to women by phone, e-mail, or in-person to deal with everyday challenges.

  • Referral for Women’s programs

    Includes support for women such as community-based counselling who have experienced trauma in their lives, developing safety plans, and more.
